Creative Drama is off and running for our new school year.

In Kindergarten we are getting to know each other as we explore new creative
drama games and have fun moving our bodies and excercising our imaginations.

The First Grade Class started the year off by picking a song to re-lyric as their
classroom cheer (There's No Business Like Show Business) - we all brainstormed as
to the many things that make first grade special and now we continue to learn the
words and put movements to our cheer.

The Second Grade Class: jumped right in - warming up with some old favorite
games and then picked "Call Me Maybe" as the melody for their Drama cheer. We
will add some choreography to our song and enjoy much class spirit when class
starts.

The Third Grade Class: also resoundingly choose "Call Me Maybe" the kids
all love pop music and enjoy the opportunity to sing at the tops of their lungs
when given the opportunity. We worked together on the lyrics and will now
add movement.

The Fourth Grade Class: almost unanimously choose "Party Rock" as their
class cheer. We continue to work on the lyrics and smooth mooves. We then
moved on to creating television commercials for a made up Halloween product.
The class works together in groups to brainstorm product ideas then develops
improvised 60 second commercials keeping in mind that they need to sell
their products. They come up with staging, jingles - polish the skits and then
perform them for the group.

The Fifth Grade Class: choose "It's Always a Good Time" for their class
cheer. They are very good at re-lyricing and ready to pick some fun
moves to accompany the song.  This class has also been working on the
halloween inspired television commercials (see above - 4th grade). It's
always fun to see where their creativity takes them.
